Hello All,
Another riding season is about to begin and I have found a worthy foundation to support!
My 2013 riding tour will include the Tour of Honor, which is dedicated to honoring military veterans and first responders by visiting selected memorials throughout the country. The Tour of Honor runs from April through October and proceeds benefit a very worthy cause: the Wounded Warrior Project. With over 40 states participating and more than 250 designated memorials to visit, the Tour of Honor is truly nationwide in scope. To be considered a Tour of Honor finisher, riders must visit and document a minimum number of seven Tour of Honor locations.
I love traveling the country on my motorcycle. I also like having a riding theme for my rides and this year’s Tour of Honor for the Wounded Warrior Project makes this ride even more special.
Now here comes the reason for this email. I would like to raise a minimum of $1,500 to donate to the Wounded Warrior Project and I would like your help. I am asking you to please sponsor my 2013 Tour of Honor ride with a donation pledge that will go to the Wounded Warrior Project.
My goal is to visit a minimum of 50 Tour of Honor sites and a minimum of 10 states. Hopefully, I'll visit a lot more of both!
I am asking you to pledge whatever you can to my 2013 Tour of Honor ride and any amount you pledge will be greatly appreciated by the Wounded Warrior Project. However much you decide to pledge is great, but here are a few suggestions:
So, will you help support me and the Wounded Warrior Project?
Please check the appropriate level and fill-in the blanks or just send me an email to let me know what you’re willing to pledge. But hurry, the Tour is about to start!
Hey John, I want to help you raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project, so I will sponsor your 2013 Tour of Honor ride with a pledge of $_______ per memorial and $_______ per state. My maximum is $_______.
Feel free to share this email with your friends and family who you think may want to participate in supporting The Wounded Warrior Project.
I thank you, and the Tour of Honor and Wounded Warrior Project also thanks you!

- Pledge a set dollar amount for each memorial and a set dollar amount for each state visited. You can put a maximum total amount on this if you want.
- Pledge a dollar amount, say $100, if I reach my minimum goal of 50 memorials in 10 states. Of course you can pledge more than $100, it’s for a very worthy cause!
- Pledge a dollar amount, say $150, if I reach my real goal of 75 memorials in 20 states.
- In October, if I reach my goals, you will send me a check, payable to he Wounded Warrior Project and I will, in turn, send all the checks to the Wounded Warrior Project.
So, will you help support me and the Wounded Warrior Project?
Please check the appropriate level and fill-in the blanks or just send me an email to let me know what you’re willing to pledge. But hurry, the Tour is about to start!
